After one full season of Virtual Jazz at the Bechtler, the sounds of live jazz will once again fill the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art on the first Friday of every month. September marks the return of the Ziad Jazz Quartet, with special guest Maria Howell, who will take the Bechtler stage beside Ziad Rabie (Saxophone), Noel Freidline (piano), Ron Brendle (bass), and Al Sergel (drums).

American actress, singer, and voiceover artist, Maria Howell is best known for her role as the choir soloist in the 1985 Oscar-nominated film The Color Purple. She has also shared the stage with Ray Charles, Najee, George Howard, Ramsey Lewis, George Benson, Nancy Wilson, Marvin Hamlisch, Will Downing, and Babyface. Click here to learn more!
PERFORMANCE

Concerts are performed at 6 and 8:15 p.m. Each concert is 75 minutes with no intermission. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6 p.m. concert and 7:45 p.m. for the 8:15 p.m. concert.
